Description

    Says it in the description:

copy the folder "yaml" into your CMSMS main directory, the two .tpl files into /modules/MenuManager/templates and the two .php files into /plugins.

what it doesn't say in the description is - go to "Layout" - then "Template" and create a new template using the data in the yaml_template.txt file, once this template is your default template set for all pages you should be good to go.

Installed, but looks nothing like the example graphic. How do I install is so it looks like the example?

    Hi Michael,
if you visit the website of the YAML framework made by Dirk Jesse (http:// www.yaml.de/en), you will see that the 'example' is only a part of Dirk's website - and not a part of the template design. The design of the YAML-CMSMS-Template is based on the example '3col_column_dividers' (http://www.yaml.de/fileadmin/examples/04_layouts_styling/3col_column_dividers.html). Please read the documentation for YAML, published on http://www.yaml.de/fileadmin/download/release_305/ydoc_305_de_080526.zip resp. http://www.yaml.de/fileadmin/download/release_305/ydoc_305_en_080526.zip
how to change which CSS files for what changes of the design.

Nice Theme and documentation, just bad that it is only in german and not english :)

Tim - YAML is probably the best documented frameowrk I've seen, and it's a 113 page PDF in English.

    Dieter:

    Thank you for this port.

Can you tell me how much of the YAML framework you have ported? If I implement this, can I use the YAML docs to fully modify to any design?

This template looks nothing like the screenshot once you have it installed.

This is definitely the most mis-leading template I've come across in a long time. I think these guys just want someone to see it, like it, and then port it correctly to CMSMS to save them the work.

    It's not even in english.

YAML is a good CSS framework, a lot of effort has been done to translate it to english.
Unfortunately not all the people understand the power of using a simple 'lingua franca' like english; even if full of errors (such as my english since it is not my mother language) it make everything more readable to eveybody in the true spirit of open source.
May be our german friends will make a little effort to have themselves better understood ? Let's hope

    Hi there,

    great. I installed it easily.

I'd like to know how I could change 2 things:

1.) Use the slidedoor menu effect
    2.) have a 2-col layout.

    How do I do that?

I tried to generate the could via the YAML Builder or even to manually change the respective lines. But nothing worked fine.

    Could you help me, please?

This is really good work, thanks.

A quick question, though. The two .php files overwrite files in /plugins -- what happens come upgrade time if the originals of these change?

Freankly speaking, I am not a great connoisseur of all these issues with YAML frameworks, but at least with the help of this video I got the slightest idea - http://www.videorolls.com/watch/Teil-4-Import-der-Dateien-Tutorial-TYPO3-4-3-1-mit-Autoparser-und-YAML-3-2-1-Framework
